"To Me, You Are Perfect And My Wasted Heart Will Love You." - Love Actually
While I definitely agree the concept is over-done (and honestly, every time I hear someone say the words "music is my boyfriend" I grit my teeth) I actually think the execution of this is wonderful. Much better than anything else I've ever seen with that idea in mind.
The CDs look like they're floating, the way you took the shot, and holding your arm out, it's like how one would gently press on their significant other's back- just to say "We are together". It's a very fine detail, and those extra little touches are what really makes a great image.
You keep everything else in the picture nice and simple, which is good. Blue, white, skin tone, hair tone, the colour scheme is small, but not bland. Also, while I normally refrain from making comments about actual people in the shot, I have to make an exception here- you(?) look absolutely gorgeous. Something in the white dress, the slight contrast with your skin, and the blue wall framing you, it's stunning. The picture makes me envy Mr. Music.
On that note - leaving the head (or most of it) out of the picture was perfect. It adds just that tiny extra dimension of mystique, which is certainly sexy, but it also balances out the top and bottom of the picture perfectly. I can't imagine it would look as pleasing, aesthetically, if there was a visible line of blue across the top of the picture.
I promised I'd keep this short, so I shall stop now. In summary, fantastic work - definitely a keeper.
